This event provided a space for dialogue between various sectors of society, aiming to discuss issues related to the BRICS countries and international governance from a socioenvironmental perspective.<\/p>\n<p>The discussions featured the participation of Juan David Pati\u00f1o (University of Sorbonne) and Matteo Minola (University of Milan), exchange interns from the Socioenvironmental Platform of the BPC. The debate followed a roundtable format, during which the participants shared data on Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Among the topics addressed, key points included the countries\u2019 emission profiles, their commitments under the Paris Agreement \u2014 including their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) \u2014 and the main challenges each country faces in tackling climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, this edition of Caf\u00e9 com BRICS included a presentation about the new project of the Socioenvironmental Platform: the creation of the Global South Climate Ambitions Observatory, which is scheduled to launch at the end of this year.
