She also addressed Brazil&#8217;s choice to distance itself from the geopolitical dichotomy between the US and China, avoiding a more rigid alignment and maintaining its autonomy and voice in world affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Fern\u00e1ndez also highlighted the Sino-Brazilian alliance in the fight against hunger and in tackling global tax inequality. She also commented on the impact of the US elections, saying that the result \u201cpromises to further intensify the policy of decoupling the economies of the United States and China by escalating tariffs on imports from both sides.
