type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]The February edition of the newsletter <em>Voices from the South<\/em>, published by the Karibu Foundation, partner of the BRICS Policy Center in the research project &#8220;The political economy of South-South relations: a comparative analysis of China&#8217;s investments in Brazil and South Africa&#8221;, is now available.<\/p>\n<p>In the newsletter, IRI\/PUC-Rio professor and BPC director Ana Garcia describes the initial findings of the project, and presents an analysis that observes how South-South investments do not necessarily provide an alternative for the conditions of workers, communities, and the environment when operating within a logic of accumulation &#8211;
