Its\u00a0activities include the formulation of budgetary and fiscal\u00a0policies and financial supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Hujin is an integrally state-owned limited society, constituted\u00a0in conformity with the Company Law of the People\u2019s\u00a0Republic of China. With authorization from the State\u00a0Council, Central Hujin Investment Ltd. fulfills the role of\u00a0investing in the main state-owned financial institutions,\u00a0within the limits of its contributions and in conformity\u00a0with applicable laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>The National Council for Social Security Fund is a governmental\u00a0agency responsible for the management and\u00a0 functioning\u00a0of the National Social Security Fund. It is under<br \/>\ndirect leadership and supervision of the State Council, or\u00a0an authorized Department by the State Council.<\/li>\n<li>Buttonwood Investment Bank was created in 2014 and\u00a0belongs to China\u2019s State Administration of Foreign Exchange.\u00a0Its objective is to diversify channels of investment\u00a0of China\u2019s foreign exchange reserves. CDB Development Fund<\/strong><\/span> was created in August 2015 with\u00a0a social capital of US$ 7 billion and the main objective of\u00a0supporting the construction of projects in key-sectors for\u00a0economic development recognized by the state. The investment\u00a0is conducted via capital investments, loans to\u00a0shareholders and investment and financing to company\u00a0funds. This subsidiary represents the greatest innovation<br \/>\nof the reform of Chinese financial market and investments.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>2. CDB Capital Co.<\/strong><\/span>, was created in 2009, with a focus on urban\u00a0development, industrial investment, foreign investment\u00a0and funds management. In 2015, its social capital\u00a0surpassed US$ 15 billion. It is the only investment institution\u00a0licensed for investing in RMB in the Chinese banking\u00a0system, and is defined as one of CDB\u2019s platforms to serve<br \/>\nnational strategies.<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">3. CDB Leasing Co.<\/span><\/strong>, was created in 2008, with a social capital\u00a0of US$ 1.25 billion. It operates with leasing in the fields\u00a0of aviation, naval construction, transport, commercial\u00a0vehicles, engineering equipment, basic infrastructure industry,\u00a0social housing and small and medium-sized enterprises.\u00a0In 2015, it registered a social capital of over US$\u00a021 billion.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>4. China-Africa Development Fund<\/strong><\/span>, was created in 2007, for\u00a0investment operations and consultancy for Chinese companies\u00a0in Africa.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>5. Village Bank<\/strong><\/span> operations are concentrated in the rural\u00a0economy of China.
