transport and energy infrastructure; export in large scale projects; stimulating the use of defense industry facilities to manufacture civilian products, through new facilities and the modernization of existing production; css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>During the dissolution of the USSR, the Bank\u2019s activities\u00a0were concentrated in the purchase of imported products,\u00a0with financing from European countries.<\/li>\n<li>In 2002, the Vnesheconombank was restructured and appointed\u00a0to invest pension fund in bonds denominated in\u00a0foreign currency.<\/li>\n<li>In 2007, the Vnesheconombank was recast as \u201cBank for Development\u00a0and Foreign Economic Affairs\u201d. Thus, its authorized\u00a0capital became a pool of funds from the former USSR,\u00a0federal government-owned shares in the Russian Development\u00a0Bank and the Roseximbank, as well as assets to be\u00a0transferred by the own Russian government itself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In 2010, the Vnesheconombank created the Russian Direct\u00a0Investment Fund in order to raise capital abroad for the\u00a0Russian economy. The main goal of the Fund is to raise<br \/>\nlong term foreign investment in the Russia\u2019s high-tech\u00a0sectors.<\/li>\n<li>In 2015, as a result of the restrictions caused by the sanctions\u00a0imposed on Russia, the Vnesheconombank was not\u00a0able to obtain loans for more than 30 days in foreign capital\u00a0markets.
